Musician's Management Guide
One of the most
daunting tasks for a musician is to learn how to manage the support
staff that will assist them in their career decisions and coordinate
their performances, scheduling, etc. It is not enough to have
the musical talent, but an insight on how to manage people and
how to get them to give their best efforts in furthering your
career is a necessary skill.
In order to assist
musicians in this key area, The Texas Musicians Association
will now offer a training program to guide musicians over some
of the "rough spots", and provide them a knowledge
of fundamental Management techniques to help them make sound
judgments and succeed in their careers. These classes are taught
by an instructor with over forty years experience in the business
and entertainment environment who can parallel typical music
related situations to standard management and people
concepts which are so vital for the musician.
Good management
techniques to go along with a good act will give the musician
a head start toward success.
