Press kits
are your booking agent's primary advertising tool. They speak
for you when you cannot be there to
speak for yourself. Your kit should contain the following basic
elements:
A Photo - 8x10 black and white
glossies are always appropriate, but did you know that newspaper
music editors will always publish a color photo first if given
a choice? They want to make a splash too!
A Bio - We can help make your
bio interesting. We'll communicate *why* you got into the business,
and who your musical influences are, so that the venue knows
exactly what they're getting. That fosters trust, and trust will
get you bookings. |
A Set List
and Business card
A Recording - Live recordings make
the venue owner to feel as if he is mere feet from your tip jar,
even if he is listening in his car. We can package yours, or
if you need help, we'll get you started.
Endorsements/Recommendations - If you are a new band,
you probably don't have any. In the mean time, we'll work with
your previous venues to bring out the best comments from them.
Contact
Information
- Often times, the venue owners want to booka new band, but can't
contact them because the press kit elements got separated durnig
review. We guarantee that your contact information will appear
on every piece of your press kit. |
